26/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - Elmar Brok, President of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, calls in a press release for last December's decision for deliberations and voting under co-decision in Council of the EU meetings to be open to the public (see European 9095) to be extended to all legislative procedures, whether under co-decision or not, although he adds that the Council needs to be able to work freely and without public pressure when dealing with foreign affairs.
