European Data Protection Supervisor stresses lack of guarantees given by three Commission proposals on SIS II

Brussels, 24/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) gave a critical opinion on Monday concerning three Commission proposals on the second generation of the Schengen Information System (SIS II). After welcoming the arrival of these three proposals, the EDPS nonetheless made comments and changes to ensure compliance with fundamental rights.
