Strasbourg, 06/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - Adopting a resolution in Strasbourg on 28 September on the 25th anniversary of Solidarnosc in Poland (Solidarity) and its message for Europe, the European Parliament called for 31 August to be celebrated as Freedom and Solidarity Day to commemorate Solidarity's struggle and give it the place it deserves in Europe's collective memory.
