06/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - IAEA Director Mohamed El Baradei said on Wednesday he was optimistic about the chances of the negotiations between the EU3 (UK, Germany and France) and Iran on its nuclear programme starting up again in a few weeks time. He said he favoured the intervention of a third party in the negotiations to save face and get out of the deadlock, like Russia which has made a great effort to try and get the negotiations going again.
