Jose Manuel Barroso says future of Ukraine is in Europe but talking about accession all the time is not the best way to get there

Brussels, 06/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, gave the new Ukrainian prime minister Yuri Ekhanurov full assurances that the EU was prepared to move forward and step up its relations with the Ukraine. Barroso told reporters the EU wanted to make concrete steps forward in several areas, like granting market economy status, visa facilitation and preparing for future negotiations on setting up a free trade zone.
