GENERAL NEWS / (eu) eu/culture

06/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - European Culture Commissioner Jan Figel opened, on 5 October, the exhibition by Slovak painter Cyril Uhnak at the Berlaymont, the premises of the European Commission in Brussels. Created after the enlargement of the EU in May 2004 to ten new Member Sates (including Slovakia), the works by this artist are a tribute to the River Danube.
