Commission takes the Netherlands to European Court of Justice for continued violations of EU regulations

Brussels, 14/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is taking the Netherlands to the European Court of Justice over three cases where the Netherlands has not implemented EU environmental laws on time or has done so inadequately, despite several warnings.

Under the third stage of proceedings for violating EU law (Article 226 of the Treaty), the Netherlands is being taken to the European Court of Justice over failure to properly transpose three EU laws:
