14/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - Frank Asbeck has been appointed Director of the European Union's Satellite Centre in Torrejon de Ardoz (Madrid, Spain), which provides information collected by satellite imaging and air imaging, used in decision-making under the Common Foreign and Defence Policy. Asbeck is a German national, previously the Satellite Centre's deputy head. He has been appointed for a three year term.
