Commission announces actions to harmonise in long term, methods for funding decommissioning of nuclear plants

Brussels, 27/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the European Commission published a report on management of financial means for the future decommissioning of nuclear plants in Europe. By 2005, around 50-60 of the 155 reactors currently functioning in the enlarged Union should be dismantled.
