Strasbourg, 15/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - At the EP on Wednesday, the Dutch Presidency and the European Commission outlined their initial ideas on how to improve the Stability and Growth Pact to a mixed reception. Some MEPs were happy that their ideas included some long-standing demands, others were disappointed the ideas did not go far enough, while others were concerned at the tight discipline implied in the suggested changes.
