Parliament gives go-ahead to EUR 5.4 billion cut in Member States' contributions

Strasbourg, 15/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - Adopting in Strasbourg on Tuesday the report by Jan Mulder (ELDR, the Netherlands) on the draft rectifying budget 7/2004, the European Parliament gave the go-ahead for a EUR 5.470 billion cut in the contributions of Member States in 2004, possibly from money not spent under the 2003 budget.
