Labour costs up by 2.2% in eurozone and 2.8% in EU25

Brussels, 15/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - In the second quarter of 2004 compared with the second quarter of 2003, total hourly labour costs in the whole economy of the eurozone grew by 2.2% in nominal terms in the second quarter of 2004 compared to the second quarter of 2003. In the first quarter of 2004 the increase was 2.7%. In the EU25, the rise was 2.8% in the second quarter of 2004, compared to 3.7% in the previous quarter.
