Commission may decide on Monday to take Cresson to Court of Justice

Brussels, 16/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - At its meeting in Brussels on Monday (and Strasbourg on Tuesday), the European Commission may decide to take a big move in the administrative proceedings launched against Edith Cresson, who is alleged to have committed nepotism during the time she was a European Commissioner (1995-1999). The Commission accuses Cresson of violating her obligations as Commissioner by offering her dentist, Rene Berthelot, a job in 1996 and 1997. Such favouritism is alleged...
