Brazil happy at news that EU may cut sugar subsidies

Brussels, 16/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - According to AFP, the world's biggest sugar producers and exporter, Brazil, is pleased that the EU is proposing to reduce sugar subsidies. In an interview with the Estado newspaper, Brazil's farm minister Roberto Rodrigues said it was a positive signal. He suggested making use of the WTO dispute settlement body.
