Brussels, 16/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the Finn Reino Lampinen, was appointed the first president of the European Railway Agency (ERA) by its board of directors, which met for the first time in Lille/Valenciennes, where the Agency is based. It will have a budget of 12 million EUR for 2005, rising to 20 million EUR for subsequent years. The next stage will be to set up the team and appoint the Agency's executive director.
