Gerhard Schröder no longer wants division between EU Member States nor between EU and US during international crises

Brussels, 16.07.2004 (Agence Europe) - Speaking in a BBC interview after a meeting with Prime Minster Tony Blair, German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder urged for the EU Member States to no longer be divided as was the case over the war in Iraq. “We must not allow ourselves to develop a situation in which Europe is no longer united on such matters and in which Europe is no longer united with the United States”, he said, cited by AFP. “Both sides have learnt a lesson” from the past...
