18/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - Annual inflation in the Euro zone increased from 2.0% in October 2.2% in November 2003, according to Eurostat's figures released on Thursday (2.3% in November 2002). In the same period, inflation in the EU15 went from 1.9% to 2.0% (2.2% in November 2002). In November 2003 the highest rates were registered in Ireland 3.3%, Spain 2.9% and Italy 2.8%. Lowest rates: Finland 1.2%, Germany, Austria and UK 1.3%. Compared to November 2002, strongest falls: Denmark, Netherlands and Portugal - highest rises: France, Belgium and Sweden. In Switzerland, annual rate of inflation stood at 0.5% October-November 2003 - in the USA it fell from 2.0% to 1.8%.
