EU counter-measures for failure to cooperate in fight against money laundering

Brussels, 18/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Union Member States have decided to impose "in concert and concomitantly" countermeasures against Myanmar for not having cooperated in the international community's fight against money laundering. They thus call on their financial institutions to pay "special attention" to businesses and transactions with persons, including companies and financial institutions, from the countries and territories (NCCTs) that are not cooperating in the implementation...
