Tobacco and cotton producing countries continue to block reform proposals - Other council results

Brussels, 18/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Monday in Brussels, member states producing tobacco (Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and France) and cotton (Greece, Portugal and France) reiterated their criticism of the reform proposals for these sectors. Spain was very firm over olive oil, while calling for higher levels of subsidy uncoupling to avoid an excessive divide between its producers.
