Infringement procedures against eleven Member States with regard to qualifications, copyright and financial services

Brussels, 18/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to pursue infringement cases involving eleven Member States that have contravened internal market rules.

Lawyers: "Reasoned opinions" were sent to France and Ireland to comply with the September 2002 judgement of the European Court of Justice requiring them to recognise lawyers' qualifications.

Qualifications: Belgium received a reasoned opinion requesting the country to apply the 2001 directive on simplification...
