Economic and monetary affairs committee at EP supports Mr Trichet's nomination

Brussels, 11/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee held a hearing on Thursday and decided that Jean-Claude TRICHET, had all the necessary qualities to succeed Wim Duisenburg as the next President of the European Central Bank (ECB) on 1 November.
