Italy's ENEL (turnover of EUR 15.42 bn in first half of 2003) is preparing to sell about 50% of its TERNA electricity distribution network in an initial public offering in the first half of next year. ENEL has reopened negotiations with France's EDF with a view to becoming an operator on the French market.
