Cautious response from Pascal Lamy to US free trade project in Middle East and North Africa

Brussels, 24/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for Trade, Pascal Lamy, gave a very cool response to the free trade zone project launched by the USA to cover the Middle East. US Representative for Trade, Robert Zoellick, confirmed, the project announced in May by President George Bush, during the meeting of the World Economic Forum in Amman in Jordan.
