Commission takes action against 12 Member States for failure to transpose framework programme on dissemination of GMOs into the environment on time

Brussels, 10/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to go one step further in the infringement proceedings initiated against the Member States which, despite a first call to order, have still not transposed into national law Directive 2001/18/EC on the voluntary dissemination of genetically modified organisms into the environment.
