Global Unions Group proposes joint meeting of Trade and Employment Ministers before Cancun

Brussels, 10/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - As part of the preparations for the WTO Ministerial in Cancun from 10 to 14 September, the international trades union movement "Global Unions Group" has sent a statement to Commissioner Pascal Lamy with its thoughts on the Doha negotiations in social, environmental and regulatory areas, and proposes in particular a reform of the WTO towards greater transparency and democracy.
