Egypt formally ratifies the Euro-Mediterranean association agreement

Brussels, 09/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for External Relations Chris Patten welcomed on Wednesday the formal ratification by Egypt of the Euro-Mediterranean association agreement signed in June 2001. "The agreement is now well on track to take effect in 2004, once all EU Member States have ratified it", he said, stressing that its ratification by the Assembly of the Egyptian people reflects the confidence of the Egyptian parliamentarians in the future of relations...
