13/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the report of Marcelino Oreja (EPP, Spain), the European Parliament has approved (simple consultation), with a few technical amendments, the draft regulation on opening up the ECC and ECSC historic archives to the public. This update of the 1983 regulation on archives takes into account the 2001 regulation provisions on document access.
