Ban on Italians taking bets from British bookmakers may be incompatible with Community law

Luxembourg, 13/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - If the European Court of Justice carries out the conclusion of the Advocate General Alber, managers from Italian centres that take bets form the English bookies, Stanley International Betting in Liverpool, could continue their activities in full compliance with European law.
