Red Cross launches European road safety campaign for primary school children in spring

Brussels, 13/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Bureau of the Red Cross will be launching a European campaign for promoting child safety for children going to school. This campaign, in partnership with the European Commission, will begin in the spring and end on World Health Day on 7 April 2004. Quoting a UNICEF report from 2001, the Red Cross indicates that road accidents account for the greatest number of deaths and serious injuries to children.
