Stockholm, 13/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish Parliament has set a date (270 votes for, 40 against and 4 abstentions) for 14 September for a referendum on the country's adoption of the Euro. Almost 7 million Swedes will be able to take part in this consultation. The government decided to put USD 41 million into the campaign to be shared equally between the "yes" and "no" camps. The most recent polls showed a slight advantage to the adversaries of the Euro.
