The European Commission adopted on 5 March its annual political strategy for 2004, and it was presented by President Prodi on 12 March to the European Parliament at Strasbourg (see EUROPE of 5 March, p.9, of 6 March, p.8, and of 12 March, p.8). We will publish this communication, which was approved by the Commission at the same time as its "road map" for the preparation of the Union's post-2006 financial framework, in its entirety in EUROPE/Documents.
