Commission asks explanations of United Kingdom on "Prestige" oil tanker

Brussels, 14/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission sent the United Kingdom a letter following the harm caused on Wednesday off the coast of Galicea (north western Spain) to the "Prestige" oil tanker carrying 77,000 tonnes of fuel (part of which is said already to have spilt out to sea) and that risks sinking.
