Luxembourg, 28/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The concepts of force majeure in agriculture must not be limited to absolute impossibility but must be understood in a broader sense. The sudden death of the sole director of a family holding in the form of community property may, in principle, be regarded as a case of force majeure. This is what the First Chamber of the Court of Justice, chaired by Belgian judge Melchior Wathelet, ruled in the case of Isabel and Adelina Parras Medina.
