Danish Presidency opens negotiations to identify areas of improvement for candidates' final package without altering EU's overall budget

Copenhagen, 28/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - In Copenhagen on Monday the Danish Presidency of the EU held a mini-Summit of heads of state of the candidate countries to fill them in on the outcome of last week's Brussels European Council (see our special edition of 27 October).

The Summit had two aims, explained Danish prime minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen to reporters: firstly, to explain the details of the financial package and the common negotiating positions endorsed in Brussels to future...
