Margot Wallström stresses importance of joint simulation exercises against eventual radiological and chemical attacks

Brussels, 28/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On the eve of the first European civil defence exercise held at the weekend at the camp of Canjuers in le Var, in France (see EUROPE of 17 October, p.15), Margot Wallström, Environment Commissioner, underlined when speaking to the press how important it was to "test on the ground the Union's ability to face up to radiological and chemical attacks, by practising joint simulation exercises".
