Following Russia's refusal to go to Copenhagen, due to holding of "Chechnya Conference", EU/Russia Summit to be held in Brussels

Brussels, 28/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EU/Russia Summit of 11 November will be held in Brussels and not in Copenhagen. The decision was taken on Sunday evening by the Danish Government following talks by its Ambassador to Moscow, Lars Vissing, at the Russian foreign ministry. The Russian Government said that it would not take part in the EU/Russia Summit in Copenhagen if the Danish Government authorised the holding of the "Chechen Conference".
