Clearance for GF-X, air freight trading platform between several European airlines

Brussels, 28/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the airline companies Lufthansa, Air France, British Airways and Global Freight Exchange Limited (GFEL) to set in place a joint venture. Called GF-X, and currently held by GFEL, the undertaking will provide an electronic business to business (B2B) trading platform that will facilitate the sale of air freight capacity between air freight forwarders (the buyers) and air freight carriers (the sellers).
