Green light for acquisition of Fairchild's fastener business by Alcoa

Brussels, 15/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of the fastener business of US-based company Fairchild Corp (active in aerospace distribution and real estate operations) by Alcoa Inc., another US firm active in the aluminium and fastener industry. Through its subsidiary Huck International Inc. it also manufactures industrial and aerospace fasteners and fastener installation tools.
