Chirac-Schröder interview fails to smooth out divergences on agriculture - Fischer initiative on future of Europe

Paris, Berlin, 15/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The working lunch in Paris between President Chirac and Chancellor Schröder (both of them accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Ministers) failed to iron out the Franco-German divergences on agricultural expenditure. Jacques Chirac declared that these divergences risked persisting even after the European Council of 24-25 October.
