Presidency hopes to reach many political agreements - For that, Member states will have to drop their reservations

Brussels, 11/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Justice and Home Affairs Council will begin with Monday being devoted to legal co-operation (see yesterday's EUROPE page 11). The Presidency hopes to reach political agreements on seven of the eight points on the agenda, but, for that, will have to convince Member states to drop the reservations they have on the texts. Here are the different topics on the agenda to be dealt with by the Council:
