EP to the rescue of "Names" of Lloyd's of London

Brussels, 11/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Committee on Petitions this week heard current and former members of Lloyd's of London calling on the European Commission to prosecute the United Kingdom for not having correctly implemented the 1973 Insurance Directive. These Lloyd's "Names" are individuals who, in exchange for a stake in any profits made by the company's insurance activities, commit their personal assets as guarantees, with unlimited liability.
