Parliament hopes to avoid conciliation with Council over non-road mobile machinery emissions

Strasbourg, 04/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - Adopting on Tuesday the draft recommendation by Bernd Lange (PES, Germany) on the Council common position on amending the directive aiming to limit polluting emissions from non-road mobile machinery, the European Parliament hopes to have make it possible to reach agreement with the Council over a directive to cut pollution caused by small machinery powered by internal combustion engines, like lawn-mowers, chainsaws, hedge-clippers and the like.
