Parliament regrets Commission does not encourage Member States to introduce tax incentives to attract investment in film industry

Brussels, 04/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption by 475 votes in favour, 18 against and 48 abstentions, the report by Luckas Vander Taelen (Greens/EFA, Belgium) on the Commission's communication concerning "certain legal aspects linked to film production and other audiovisual works", the European Parliament invites the Commission to do everything possible to ensure the free movement of audiovisual works within the internal market by 2005.
