EU suggests greater opening of services markets to its partners

Brussels, 04/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Union presented its partners at the World Trade Organisation (WTO) with its preliminary demands to update, improve and provide more secure access to services markets as part of the Doha Development Agenda negotiating round. The preliminary offers of the 109 WTO countries are due to be lodged in Geneva before March 2003, but only 9 have so far taken the plunge.
