Parliament approves draft amending budget on reimbursement to Member States of EUR 15 billion unused in 2001

Brussels, 04/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption, on Wednesday in Strasbourg, of the report by Guido Podestà (Forza Italia) and Kathalijne Maria Buitenweg (Greens/EFA, NL), the European Parliament approved without amendment the draft supplementary and amending budget (SAB) No3/2002 on the 2001 surplus of EUR 15 billion that will be paid back to Member States in the context of the 2002 budget.
