04/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - At the end of March the European Commission published a report on the application of the Wild Birds Directive (COM (2002) 146) from 1996 to 1998. For each Member State, the report looks at conservation, the preservation of natural habitats and special protections zones, the capture and hunting of birds and research.
