04/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, "welcomes the decision of the Transport Council of the European Union to launch the development phase of GALILEO, Europe's satellite navibation, poistioning and timing system". In a press release, the 30-member itnergovernmental organisation notes that GALILEO "will enhance and completment its current and future strategies and programmes which aim at finding solutions to Europe's air traffic...
