The Dutch group, AEGON, has announced the sale of its shares in two joint ventures that it held with Mexican BANAMEX, namely the insurance firm SEGUROS BANAMEX AEGON and the pension fund management company AFORE BANAMEX AEGON, for a total of $1.24 billion. The buying company is the financial conglomerate CITIGROUP, which took over control of BANAMEX in May.
