ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

CNOOC - CHINA NATIONAL OFFSHORE OIL is to become the largest offshore producer in Indonesia. It has just released $585 million to acquire nine subsidiaries of the Spanish oil company REPSOL YPF, which holds stakes in five oil and gas fields in Indonesia. The operation is thus CNOOC's largest acquisition abroad.
