Commission takes action against Belgium for failing to fully open up its electricity market

Brussels, 26/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission decided to take action against Belgium at the European Court of Justice for failing to fully incorporate Community legislation on the opening up of the electricity market into Belgian law, accusing Belgium of not designating an electricity transmission system operator.
